Thanks Daniel, I enjoyed this just as much as the first time I read it.However this time I noticed something in one of the pictures that I missed the first time around.
You posted a picture of Takashi Yoshida fishing in a down stream fashion and the rod he’s using appears to be very short, 8 feet long at best. Is Takashi fishing tenkara style in that photo, or is it a variation that uses a shorter rod?

I believe his rod was 10ft, definitely not much shorter than that. Maybe it’s the angle of the photo, or that he is holding it above the handle.
