While Italy is best known for its food and the wine that goes with it (also the espresso in between, before and after meals) Italy is also a country with mountains and beautiful trout fishing.
In this episode Daniel Galhardo and tenkara guide Vito Rubino talk about tenkara fly-fishing in the land of “pesca alla valsesiana”, a method of fishing very similar to tenkara.
If you’re looking at traveling to Italy sometime, bring a tenkara rod along and listen to this episode.

Where is the resource information about tenkara fishing in Italy – the names of the rivers, places to fish, etc. I will be traveling there this summer and would like to know where I might be able to find some fishing opportunities.
Is there any info on fly selection?
Thanks!
Kevin, unfortunately we never got to develop one very well. But, I might suggest posting something in the Tenkara Italy group on Facebook for more info from those guys: https://www.facebook.com/groups/111568655633655/
